Chris Bell
RGN Specialist Nurse

From an early age Chris wanted to be a nurse. Always wanting to nurture and help others she completed her nurse training at John Moores university in Liverpool. Her intention was to nurse patients at home and she joined the Liverpool District Nursing Team.

Later she moved with her family to Glencoe, continuing her District nursing career . Embraced by patients and colleagues she was privileged to spend 6 wonderful years in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland It was here that her eyes were opened to benefits of complementary therapies and Chakra realignment. Chris went on to complete a course in Indian Head massage but due to the demands her nursing role put this on hold.

Later moving to The Eden Valley she continued her District Nursing career. Her passion for Palliative care was growing at this point and wanting to enhance her skills in palliative and end of life care she was delighted to secure a post at a local Hospice. It was here that, "Reiki found me," and her own Reiki journey began.

Now trained as a Reiki Practitioner it is her privilege to share this beautiful therapy with clients. Used as a complementary therapy alongside conventional medicine, Reiki helps to ease tensions and promote well being on all levels - physical, emotional and spiritual . Helping to promote a deep sense of relaxation it may help reduce anxiety, nausea, pain ,insomnia and hormonal imbalance. Due to the purity of Reiki it can do no harm and makes an ideal therapy for clients who are not able to try conventional medicine. or patients going through or recovering from chemotherapy.

Chris provides professional, confidential sessions bespoke to the needs of clients on the day so no two sessions will be the same.

Awakened Belly Dance with Jana-Marie ...

Sound has been used for 1000s of years as a tool for healing. Modern science now supports the ancient belief that all matter comes from vibration or sound. Even physicists have found that the physical world is made up of vibrating energy. Every organ, every bone, every cell in the body has its own resonant frequency and through the stresses of daily life these can go out of tune. When one organ in the body is out of tune it will affect the whole body, just like one instrument in orchestra being out of tune affects the whole performance.

People have reported many benefits to having a sound therapy session including:

  • reduced stress and worry
  • improved sleep
  • experience of deep relaxation and peace
  • letting go of physical and emotional tension

During the session the client remains fully clothed and lies on the therapy bed while the practitioner walks around sounding various sacred instruments such as Tibetan singing bowls, chimes, rainstick, shamanic drum, tuning forks, etc.  Tailored with client’s safety and needs in mind, Master bowl is placed on the body at the sacred healing points along the energy channels and whilst the practitioner sings the bowl the healing vibrations pass through the body, powerfully yet gently shaking loose what is stuck, aligning the molecular structure and restoring the free flow of vital energy through the body. Balancing the mind, body, heart and spirit.  This leads us to live more balanced, peaceful and healthy lifestyle
