Person-Centred Therapy focuses very much on the individual. It allows a person to develop a better understanding of themselves as a person and enable them to become a more fully functioning individual.

The therapy allows the individual to accept change, and gain a broader understanding of who they are as a person, thus allowing them to understand, grow and develop their internal well being and self-esteem. It can help awareness of attitudes and beliefs that may feel challenged or threatened in some way.

Counselling can help with a variety of issues, including:

  • bereavement
  • addiction
  • anxiety
  • depression
  • low self-esteem
  • self confidence
  • relationship issues
  • adolescent worries

The relationship between the client and counsellor is developed through communication and trust. The counsellor is by no means an expert on any topic or individual, and will not be in a position to offer direct advice. A counsellor will travel alongside you on your journey of self discovery, and offer challenges and different points of view while fully supporting you as a client.

Counselling allows people to find a safe space to talk. It is a completely confidential service, and all clients are treated equally with no judgement or pre-conceptions.
